The role:
The Port of London Authority is expanding its IT Team. We are looking for an experienced project manager with a proven track record in delivering complex, business-critical IT systems.
You will be self-motivated with a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills and a talent for effective communication.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure successful delivery of all project objectives within scope, time, and budget.
- Maintain and monitor a comprehensive project plan, outlining key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines for each work package.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including work package leads, senior management, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure effective communication and reporting on project status, risks, and issues to the Corporate Systems Manager and other stakeholders.
You will have:
- At least 10 years experience of specifying, designing and implementing business systems within a complex IT environment.
- Ideally be educated to Degree level in an IT related discipline.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, such as PRINCE2.
- Extensive knowledge of technical concepts such as databases, authentication, APIs, server infrastructure and networking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
