The role:

The Port of London Authority is expanding its IT Team. We are looking for an experienced project manager with a proven track record in delivering complex, business-critical IT systems.

You will be self-motivated with a strong technical background, excellent organisational skills and a talent for effective communication.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure successful delivery of all project objectives within scope, time, and budget.
• Maintain and monitor a comprehensive project plan, outlining key milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and timelines for each work package.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including work package leads, senior management, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
• Ensure effective communication and reporting on project status, risks, and issues to the Corporate Systems Manager and other stakeholders.

You will have:

• At least 10 years experience of specifying, designing and implementing business systems within a complex IT environment.
• Ideally be educated to Degree level in an IT related discipline.
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools, such as PRINCE2.
• Extensive knowledge of technical concepts such as databases, authentication, APIs, server infrastructure and networking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
