Pensions / Payroll
The Pensions and Payroll department manage 5 different payrolls, including staff salary payrolls and pensioner payrolls.
The team are responsible for ensuring the payrolls are processed in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with PLA policies and nationwide legislation.
The pensions team manage the day-to-day running of:
- Four occupational defined benefit schemes
- Two workplace Defined Contribution schemes
The administration of the pension schemes includes a wide variety of tasks. From dealing with new joiners and their pension options, to the calculation of a range of pension and retirement options for colleagues approaching the end of their careers at the PLA, whether moving on or retiring.
